Hi all

Hoping someone can give me a few pointers to help repair my blow air system.

It's a Truma 3002 in a Coachman, it will start to warm on any of the three power settings 500/1000/200 then just goes cold. At that point I'm assuming it's a thermostat fault.

Problem is I cant find a thermostat sensor anywhere. User manual points to under front right hand corner of heater unit but theres nothing there !!!

Remote sensors are advertised on net and Feabay which are supposed to plug into control panel with a jackplug, but cant find that either.

Any thoughts or advice anyone please ?

............
Andy

The original temperature sensor is behind the black temperature dial in the centre of the control switch, so first things first, is that temperature dial set to the maximum 9 to be certain and equals around 32C!
Each number representing 4degs so 8 is 28c, 7=24c and so forth.

Hi Gary

Thanks for popping up, hoped you would !!

Yes, the temp control is at 9 top setting.

I've made a bit of progress. I've eventually found the circuit board under the white cover. My problem is bending to the required positions to work at that level, back doesn't like it.

I found it's been fitted with a remote sensor which was hidden up the left hand side of the fire cover.

I purchased a new one of those, just waiting for it to arrive and try it.

First thanks for your confidence 😉 as for fitted remote sensor, Probably not faulty in itself, more likely where the actual sensor at the other end of the cable is positioned.
Truma's original remotes were 3metres long and this allowed it to be positioned in the daftest places, in short, literally!, 2ft enough, just long enough to plug in and attach it to the gas fires temperature sensor at the front of the fire 👍

Thats where I clipped the new one.

The old one was pushed into the edge of the fires heat shield surround. Thats why I didnt recognise it at first, it just looked like a bit of insulation poking out.
