Hi , my Thetford fridge was not staying on gas ,so took out the fridge cleaned etc and now it lights first time and stays on , but whilst I was cleaning etc inside the fridge I broke the thermostat wire that attached to the fins and a puff of air came out . My fridge still lights etc but will it now get cold with a broken wire I have nipped it back tight but I'm now thinking before I put the fridge back in will o now need to change the gas valve that the thermistor is attached to ,or will the fridge still run ??

If the puff of air was actually the coolant the fridge will be U. S. and not cool on electric or gas.

Well the small thermo Tube that attaches to the fins inside the caravan is around 3 mm round and not sure if it was air or gas but heard something . So I suspect I will have to replace that which in turn his case is attached to the gas valve so new valve around £80 as it's all on one .
