Probably best to get in touch with this company.

Hi everyone
I've just had a 13 pin plug fitted to my volvo v 70 2008 by telford towbars they plugged it in on there test board and said it is working
I plugged it into my caravan via 13 pin to 2 .7 pin black and grey and nothing unless I remove the ignition fuse in the caravan fuse box but still very little works ie no lights or indicators
Have used exactly the same lead on my quashqui and everything works as it should
Has anyone got any ideas what can be wrong with the volvo tow bar plug I'm taking it back to them they can make sure that it is wired right
Many thanks
Steve

Steve, you’ve posted something completely different from the title of the question you asked to start with. Better to have started a new thread with a different title - but search the forum first because the question may have been asked before.

Cars are getting very bossy about what they allow to happen these days. My 2012 Peugeot only allows the radio to work for 15 mins without the engine running. Similarly, it only allows the lights and indicators on when the engine is running. Switching the ignition on makes no difference.

So have you tried it with the engine running.

I found that the black plug on the caravan there was 1 strand of wire touching the white earth so an hour later both 7s and 7n rewired and an adapter from ebay to the 13 pin on the volvo and hey ho all working
Once again thanks to all
Steve
