Guys
My 2006 Abbey has a Thetford toilet ( sorry I dont know the model number)....
Is it possible at a sensible price to change it from the manual pump flush and make it work off the aquaroll and electric flush?
Even if I have to retain the original tank...can an electric flush be fitted?
Knowing my luck it will be cheaper to replace he whole toilet!
Thanks in advance
David

Actually, depending on the model, this can be done and has been by someone on here last year (can't find the thread though).
They had the manual pump C200 model with the pull lever in the top of the tank. If I remember correctly, they maintained it as a manual fill tank (not off the Aquaroll) and just converted to use the C200 electric version switching and pump etc., by buying the parts over several months.
If you compare the parts on the exploded drawing, there is some work involved and the parts are available, BUT at a cost.
Is it worth it though? ... I'm not convinced. Plus the standard manual version is easier to maintain.------------- Paul

For the cost involved I cannot see what you will gain.------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.

Having had manual and electric i would not think it is worth the time and cost of parts to do it, and probably with electric flush you will find you will be filling with water more often. This will also mean more emptying.

We have a Thetford 250, at two years old we are on a second flush switch which now operates intermittently. Wish we were back on the manual flush.

Thanks for all the replies guys.
After looking at the exploded diagrams, I think its do-able, but an expensive change at that!
I just fancied an electric one after our old van had it, and this ones a manual...
Anyway - found this link to servic einfo which may be of interest if you have not read it...

Thanks

TBH you dont need to buy the thetford parts, inc pump all the bits were around the £20 mark. No one else is going to see it apart from you. You just have to make sure there is a 12v feed under/near the toilet.------------- Dave + Maria
