This has probably been done to death, so apologies. Just arrived in site. Standard 16Amp EHU lights and water pump work. No sockets do. Checked socket fuse no problem. The fridge won’t work on electric either. The fact that lights are on says electricity being supplied so what’s wrong please? Thanks for any assistance!

S EHU switched on? Some have a switch. It may have tripped.Check the caravan rcd switch has not tripped.
Water pump and lights are 12v not mains.

In my PVC, the lights, fridge and flushing toilet are on 12V supply, and all the 3-pin mains sockets are on 240V mains supply.

After confirming 240V supply is going into my van by checking the light on the power panel is on, if there is no supply to the 3-pin mains sockets in the van, e.g. by plugging in the thermo-electric coolbox with the 3-pin plug, then I would check if one of 2 of the RCDs has been tripped. Flip it back up, problem solved.

Thank you both for reminding me that lights etc are 12v and to recheck the supply. I looked at a couple of other pitches and it would seem that you need to also turn an unmarked knob to the right, power on. A small note or verbal instruction would have helped here I feel!

Yes, some stanchions have to be switched on.
I don’t know if it’s standard, but the CAMC site we’ve were on recently seemed to switch off stanchion automatically when the previous occupants removed their EHU cable. As the site can flood (ie tall stanchions), it might have been a safety feature.

And don't forget to press the little button on the EHU bollard when you come to disconnect your power lead !

I am guessing EHU bollards are being upgraded gradually in the UK to the latest standards, including pay as you go versions.

I have come across the ones with switches more and more.
