Greetings from NZ. Just moving into Summer here. My water heater stopped heating,Sparkie has installed new element but it only operated for a couple of days,then stopped again. He has been back again,got it going but admits he does no know how. Its failed again today. Any advice will be gratefully appreciated. Cheers Kohli.
you did go through the correct procedure on arrival on site? that is to get the water flowing from the taps smoothly BEFORE turning on the water heater?
connect water barrel
go inside and turn on the mater switch
go to the tap furthest away from the water inlet - usually the shower and turn on until it stops spitting the the bathroom sink and then finally the kitchen sink, once the cold is running right then do the same for the hot water taps, and then and only then, you can turn on the heater for the water, you should be getting hot water in approx 15 mins
Thank you! Yes All fixed. The hot water hose had to be repaired due to split earlier. I think there was an air block which I flushed out. (eventually!)
