Cheers, i thought so; when i get another unit, will any unit do the job as long as it will fit where the other is. or do i have to look for a particular make/model etc...

Serviced means among other things and apart from repairing whatever fault a module comes in with. Checking and testing for all known faults, cleaning the burner both inside and out and testing the module as a whole to make sure it works perfectly and safely and will continue to do well into the future.
The modules are basically interchangeable, however there are two types of connection lead to the control switch and not all modules have both connections. All I ask is that you tell me which connection yours uses and then I can send an appropriate module.
