I used the Fablon Plus Rustic Oak in our Swift Corniche 1991, the results are excellent.

The original printed wood grain effect had started to peel in a lot of places, it could be removed with a finger nail. The surface below is yellow, we did'nt like that look so explored different finishes and found the fablon plus best. It is thicker than the normal fablon and is designed for kitchen doors etc.,.

The crucial part is preparation, surfaces must be dust free, also I wiped them with methylated spirit before applying.

Start with a small door or panel to get the feel of applying, you can cut the fablon to the right size using a sharp ;stanley' or craft knife because it does not shrink like some have done.

Use a cloth to smooth out bubbles. I used 3 rolls, I believe they are 3m long by 60cm wide. Cost £9.95 a roll and worth every penny.

Over the years I have tried Paint and Grain, never been happy with the result.
