           I think only for your personal comfort at this stage.Many fit small fans in the back of the fridge to assist with the venting of hot air to the outside.Might help! But seeing that the cooling is minimal and fridge is really hot I suspect that you have a blockage.

When you get time to take the fridge out try running it on electricity.If there is a dramatic improvement then you know that you have to change your installation or modify it to get rid of the heat.If you don't get an improvement then you most likely have a blockage.

Be careful when you put gas back onto it.Over here it should be done by a licenced gas fitter! The pipe joints must have "Stag" compund on them before assembly and be tested before the gas is turned on.

Have a great trip...we are hoping to get away for 5 months at the end of this month but the weather is really fowl and we have so much to do before departure.
