Thank you so much everybody for your help. I am enjoying the caravan. As I said our minds were not on things when we bought it and i have now noticed a significant piece of the wall has been replaced at some point it looks well done and feels solid and dry but i think the sponginess i feel was left due to location behind the cupboard. We have had alot of wind and rain and so far its remained dry. I wonder if the leak was dealt with and I'm just left with some damage which I know isn't ideal as rot can spread but I'm hoping there is is not an active leak. I think the floor fix is possible for us when things settle but in the mean time I think it's a nice comfy tea room and its relaxing to just sit in the peace and quiet sometimes isn't it. Thank you again.

If they have fixed the leak, it should dry out. Keep checking with a meter. Over time the readings will drop if there is no further ingress.
Then if it dries, you can determine how much of a 'fix' is required.
