thanks for that will try to get a mk2 pump, cant put up a picture as van is sited some 100 miles from me! any idea where i can get one along with a new filter?

thanks for all the help but i am still confused! can i simply detach the old pump from the mk1 housing and fit a new mk 2 pump or do i need to replace the housing and the pump???

i would think you need to replace the housing and the pump using the adaptor plate above to fit it. [:o)]
