Hi, seaspray, last post for 3 weeks off to france tomorrow, if you look at first pic in gallery it shows it, basically run a stanley knife along a straight edge to make a three quarter inch wide tape, then peel vinyl surface off board onto a pen / pencil, then glue over the joins, you will have to use your no more or sticks like, smeared on the back,to stick it down,i tried pva and border/overlap adhesive, but they wouldnt stick it flat.

I did do the roof with a power hose and brush as it had been sitting up at the farm under trees. The roof was black with tree sap and whatever stuck to it. Only later was I to learn this is a "not to do".
Hi all
Just to make sure that the caravan wasn't leaking we held on for a few weeks just to make sure and its as dry as a bone.We cut templates from the cereal cardboard and traced them on to the Avondale 2 wallboard I got a friend who is a chippy to cut the pattern out. Yesterday I did a final trim of the wallboard and using no nails with a few panel pins fitted all the wallboard I will fill the little gap with no nails and top that up level with P38 then smooth it out. we'll give it a couple of days to cure then fit the PVC strip over the joint.
Hi, Seaspray, looks like you are nearly there!soon you will be able to sit in the van, with a glass of your favourite tipple, and think, "i did a cracking job on that",the dreaded damp word will hold no fears, and you will see where the dealers get their crazy figures from, its all time and labour costs, nothing that a competant diyer cannot tackle.
