I arrived on site today to discover that while towing, my battery had fallen over and some electrolytic fluid had leaked out of the battery onto the floor covering (vinyl) under the bed box.

I diluted with plenty of water and cleand thoroughly.

My questions are

Has anybody else experienced this?, and what did you do in your situation?

Is there any long term risk / consequence that I need to worry about?
