My new Passat is coming next Monday,I've had a quote for £254 including twin electrics to have a Witter towbar fitted.Does anyone know if this is likely to include the Canbus loom which is supposed to plug into the vehicle wiring and work with it if a bulb blows, etc.

I suppose I could always ring the guy who supplied the quote,He's local and does a good job.

Thanks

Mike
i fitted my own towbar & electric on my new passat, it's a canbus therefore you need a dedicated kit to ensure you don't screw up the canbus system and for the bulb monitoring to work correctly, also it should activate TSP (trailer stability program) function when you connect the caravan to the car by sensing the connection of the 12s/n plugs
