Our caravan tyres need 65psi. At that sort of pressure I cannot even depress the foot pump. The car cigarette lighter socket electric pump that I own would take a month [if it did not blow up]. Can anyone recommend a pump that is powerful enough to inflate up to 65psi. Otherwise I have to find Air lines at Service stations by which time the tyres are heated and it is best to inflate when cold to achieve the correct pressure.
I know 65psi is high but that is what my Abbey handbook states.

Hi,
I have a Halfords digital pump that runs off the cigarette lighter. My Abbey's recommended tyre pressure is 62psi and the pump has no difficulty with that. It would probably take a while blowing one up from flat (guess 15 minutes or so) but for topping up before a trip, it takes next to no time.
It cost me £37.00 a few months ago.
Hope this helps
Steve

Many thanks Steve & Michael. Can I please ask you Steve for the Halfords Model No.
Does anyone else have a pump they can recommend for high pressures?

Hi Mike,
Sorry for the delay, I'll take a look tonight and post the model number. However it looks as though they may have updated the range.
Cheers

Hi Mike,
Mine is the same as the one Bill the Bus has except that it has a digital gauge rather than mechanical.
Works really well.
Cheers
