'12 volt dropper' yeah that's one description, I prefer door stop? at least I've use one for this purpose and it worked very well

I think you can tell I'm not impressed with this thing and my strong suggestion is to forget fixing it and replace it with a modern 12v power source/charger.

thanx for the doopstop tip!!!!.... bearing in mind the van is 1991.. would the original wireing need altering to cope with a 12v power source charger... and can you recomend a brand and model..that would be suitable
