Hi all , can anybody tell me where I can purchase the plastic/rubber insert trim that fits into my awning rail and side caravan trim . Its purple in colour with the old material looking past its best . Is there any particular technique for fitting and removal that may help , any advice welcome , thanks in anticipation . The van is ABI from the nineties and I have never noticed any in local caravan stores , I will need approx 40 metres in total so naturally cheaper the better if its of good quality . Regards ---- STEVE .

Hi SJM10

I replaced a similar rubber trim on my previous 'van. It is sold by many caravan dealers by the meter and in different colours. I got mine from Widnes caravans.

As to fitting it. Mine was slight D section and I found the best was t fit one side into the awning rail, 30cm or so at a time, and then "pop" the other side in with a suitably sized flat screwdriver. An "assistant" to hold the unused length of trim, so that its weight does not pull out the part already fixed in, can be useful for the first part of the job. I hope this helps.

Tim
