Can Anyone Help

I have two problems One is that the internal roof lining is spongy in the front left corner.(Viewing the van from the outside) I have stopped the water getting in and now wish to attempt a repair of the lining.Is it the complete roof lining or is it in sections.

The second problem is cracking or crazing paintwork on the front of the van.

Any advice would be appreciated and if repairs can be done where can I buy the materials to carry out the work.

The roof lining should be just wall board fixed to the ceiling , i'm pretty sure the roof board will be in sections unless it's a really short caravan ( you should be able to see plastic trim that covers the roof board joins ) . Behind the roof board you'll probably find fibre glass or polystyrene and wood battening ( roof frame work ) .

Thanks I will have a look I am sure that the plastic trim makes it look as though the roof board is in sections

Do you know where I can purchase the roofboard so the it matches the rest. Will I need to go to elddis direct?

Far as i know they are wall board ( caravan wall board is only 3mm thick and does bend fairly easily ) .

took the roof lining down in daughters coachman to check timbers defo hardboard.
