Hello everyone,

Please put the simplicity of my question down to inexperience!

It's that time of the year to spruc up the 'van prior to the summer holiday. Its been in storage and has a very dirty roof and the inevitable black streaks that are not removed by car wash shampoo. What is the best product that doesn't require huge amounts of elbow grease and can I use my power washer on the 'van.

Happy Holidays to all

I wouldn't use your power washer on the caravan the paint is thin enough as it is and you could damage the mastic that seals the caravan imo , the best way to wash it imo is use Fenwicks Caravan cleaner , and for the black streaks use Fenwicks black streak remover , you can get both of these products from Halfords or your local caravan shop , i'm sure you'll be happy with the results .

Hi

It's been well discussed on this form what's best for cleaning vans each to his or her own as they say.  Me I would say Fenwicks caravan cleaner it's as good as any and better than most use 10 to1 on bad stains or even neat.  Try not to clean on a very sunny or hot day I find after tea best.  If I have the energy!  Soft brush with long handle makes job easy.

Finish with Fenwicks Bobby Dazzler if your keen.

Jet washes can be useful but go easy on edges of rails, seals, doors, windows and the like.
