Does anyone know if you need to do anything to look after the underside wooden floor of a caravan? I have often wondered if they need attention. Although my caravan floor looks like new underneath is it something you just don't have to bother with or should I be maintaining it somehow?

It should not need anything on it.

Thanks for the replies, it just seems to me that wood might need some sort of protection, what about when it gets wet?
I have had my elddis vogue whirlwind se for three years and I must admit it still looks ok underneath. Can see some white marks appearing in places like salt lines if that's the best way I can explain it. As you can see from this post, I am fairly new to caravans. I have not heard anyone talk about underneath as regards the floor. So must be ok. B]Thanks

nothing should be required for the underside.anything added will if damp on the underside, seal in the moisture and cause more damage.

You should not need to treat the underside of the floor as it's treated when made . Unless you are having problems with it , leave well alone .
