Hi there to you all.

I went on holiday last weekto burham on sea(brean sands)with our 1999 bailey pageant champagne, the misses decided to pour a glass of coke spilling about half a glass on the shelf just above the fuse box and trip box(clumsy cluts) which after a couple of days i could smell burning and heard an arking noise .

So i pulled the fuse box out and there it was the main feed 240 volt plug going into the rcd trip boxes had arked itself into near on destruction(all for a glass of coke we could of had a very bad experience?????)

After disconnecting  the mains from the site plug, and taking the plug off of the connection i decided to go see if i could go get another plug, but to no avail tried mendip caravan centre (now called discover)being a bailey agent thought they could help me,nick on the aftersales desk was the most helpfull, as said for us to try a few electrical outlets in western super mare we tried 6 and even screwfix but to no avail.

You would think bailey would have these as an on the shelf part but i was told they probably wouldnt even make these plugs as my van was a 1999 it would probably be too old.

WHY DONT BAILEY DEAL DIRECT TO THE PUBLIC.(A BRITISH CARAVAN BUILDER THAT WHEN YOU PHONE THEM THEY TELL YOU TO GO TO A DEALER, WHAT A BUNCH OF CROCK)

IS THERE ANY ONE WHO CAN HELP ME GET A SECOND HAND PLUG.

Ive bodged it up with 3 spade conectors at the mo was told by a qualified electrician to do this.fixed the prob at the mo but would rather have the proper plug there???

A picture would certainly help because I don't understand at all?

The mains wiring coming in to a consumer unit should be wired direct to the RCD.
It seems to me then that Bailey have used a plug to speed up production?, if so, it's therefore a simple and more correct job to wire the consumer unit as it should have been in the first place and get rid of the plug altogether.
