Just got a 2nd hand caravan and there was no raido fitted. there was a power supply for one. Plug a raido in and it was able to eject in and out with power but that was all. Got a new raido from a mate and the same thing happened with that. where am i gfoing wrong?
what make is the radio, if its a car manufacturers part it may not have the standard connections.
there will either be a sticker on the unit somwhere with the pin connections, or try here for the correct connections, you will need a multimeter if you need to re-connect the wiring.
is there only power to get the eject function, or does the whole unit power up to do this?
If it will only eject/insert and not power up, the most likly candidate it the 2 power wires, one should be permanantly live for the memory/ejecting etc, the other switched by the ignition, check you actualy have 12V power turned on, then check the fuses both in the an, and on the back of the radio unit. if these are OK, connect the 2 power cable together, it is possible the van only has 1 supply cable.
