We had a problem with our caravan charger, which resulted in a flat battery. It has been fixed and the caravan has been on mains electric for a week. It is reading 12.75 on the voltmeter. I feel sure that before our problem that it used to read nearer 14, but l could be imagining it. Can anyone tell be what a fully charged battery shoud read please?

I understand that just under 13v is correct. I just purchased a new battery for my van and at full charge it was about 12.75.

14 should be the charging voltage, or just after charging, but before settling,

the full charge should be 13.2V, but a caravan charger will never reach this, the 12.75 is about 85%, which is what van chargers get to.

to charge it fully needs a charge of about 14.4V.

take it off the caravan and charge it with a normal car battery charger ..puts a full charge in it ..instead of 85% with a caravan charger when mines charging it reads almost 14 volts

mine reads 13.5 volts.the charger will not go over this mark on most vans.
