Hi all. Need a bit of advice. I have just hit the rear of my van while reversing into my drive. It is a Bailey Pageant Bretagne 2006.
Back end side corner has cracked and dented quite badly. It has also smashed the rear lens.
Are the repair agents able to repair the plastics or will they change the whole back end plastic.
Any advice would be appreciated . Thanks in advance

Most will want to change the whole backend as it may be easier, Try to find a 'smartcar' repairer in your area, they mainly repair plastics (smart cars) and are very good at hidden repairs.------------- Doing as little as possible for as much as possible...

for a 2 year old van, personally I would have the rear replaced at a dealer, dont Baileys have a 5 year water ingress guarantee? if so it will NEED to be done properly to keep it.
it also depends on how long you want to keep the van, if your going to sell it on in the next couple of years, get it done properly, if you are going to keep it for the next 10 years, a repair wont affect the re-sale value too much.

While reversing hubby caught the left cluster and panel, under our insurance it had to be a new back end,and no repair job.

I'd say that your best bet would be to contact the insurance and have it fixed properly with all the guarantees

because of the caravans age 2006,i would say a new back through the insurance is the way to go.it will be as good as new when returned. ------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
