First unplug the other end which is the burner module end under the water tank, this will prove if it's the lead or the module. Often it's just a short circuit in the cable due to getting trapped some where,

This could well be the problem if water is lying in the bottom of the black box.

The module comes out from outside, turn off gas first, remove outer plastic flue and flat plate under that,

The burner and gas valve is now exposed, under the valve on the right you will find two cross head screws looking at you, unscrew these and the whole module slides out, there's then just the Din plug to pull out.

If it doesn't want to pull out then the box lid inside has popped open and needs squeezing shut and getting started through the hole from the inside.

Putting it back is the same but before you finish tightening the screws , being screwed on the right it will hang slightly to the left, put you finger tip under the burner and lift slightly so the seal at the back is as high as it can go without force, now finish tightening the screws to hold it in this position.

The screws also release the gas connection so any doubts get someone competent to do it.
