my mate is having bother with the Truma heater when running on electric. His van is a 99 coachman. He says the green light comes on then immediately fades off steadily (on the thermostat dial).nothing appears to have tripped out or any fuses appear to have blown.his van is on a site in Lincs so working on it is a no no at the moment and this is the only info he has of now.
im having the same problem with our truma water heater the last time we went away we had to run it on gas as it didnt want to work on electric. so i phone ubc where we bought the caravan from and its going in tuesday next week to have a new spurr fitted as the electrician says that seems to be the problem from what ive told him so fingers crossed.
Likewise! the wax plug in mine failed. I decided I would take the opportunity to remove and strip it down for inspection (since I only got the van a couple of weeks ago) internally its in perfect condition (after a clean and minor de-scale), but I am going to replace all the fittings, and picked up a brand new burner for very little so once its done mine again will be 'as new' :)
