hi me again
went away this weekend couldnt get the frige to work on gas would not get cold,the flame was a nice blue colour,i tried in on the drive the day before we went, with the caravan cover over it still and it worked fine any ideas please

I would say the most likely cause would be the fridge not being level .

the van was dead level both ways do you have to cover the vent over in the winter i think i read this somewere

Only when the outside temp is 10 degrees or below , the fridge vent covers stop over cooling .

Yes cover both vents , you can buy the vent covers at most caravan shops , and can also probably find them on ebay , see here .

Ps i wouldn't have thought that not having the vents would have stopped your fridge working , they just stop over cooling ( freezing the contents ) .

I'd give it another try first , on both gas and electric if you have it before turning upside down .
