Hopng someone can help me. Just been down to the caravan for the first time in ages and found some scumbag has stolen the skylight off the bathroom of my caravan. It is an Elddis Crown Regent think it is a 1995 model.

I am absolutely gutted moved the caravan to this storage site after my previous place more than doubled the rent and it is in the village where I live. Haven't used the caravan this year at all due to work commitment and a bad shoulder from lifting a full waste container last time out.

If anyone could suggest somewhere I could get a replacement of give me a rough idea of the cost I'll see if it is worth claiming on the insurance or not.

is your storage out doors ??? are you sure it has not blown off in the wind as you have not used van for quiet a while???

We have an Elddis Crown Regent, the first thing we did was replace the loo vent as it was ropey.  A couple of months ago in a storm our rear vent also blew off so we changed the two remaining vents.  The bathroom one was not expensive, about £30 or so and the two larger ones were £40 or so each.

I did have a look around the storage, which is outside, and couldn't see. it was however in the dark and am going to have another look down on Saturday morning. the reason I think it was stolen was the presence of a towel in the shower tray that does not belong to me. The amount of water in the shower tray was at least 1 inch deep making me think it has been gone for quite a while, serves me right for not checking it more often I suppose.

Wherabouts do you actually measure the size from? The size of the window hole or the outside of the frame?

The skylights back then were poorly made, it was no wonder ours broke when you look at the construction as no metal bolts were involved.  The new ones we have have metal bolts rather than plastic fittings so should be a little more robust.
