Hello all,

Happy New Year.

I want to try more sites with no EHU's this year but have no idea which battery charger to get to recharge our 85 AMP battery upon our return.

I've looked at a Selmar Guardian and a RING Smart Charger - 8 amp, but thought it wise to ask you all for you experiences and advice.

I got a 3.6A smart charger badged 'Medion' from Aldi for £13, it chargers the 110Ahr van battery and others perfectly.

First one was faulty, Medion sent a courier with a new one and to take the old one back!  can't fault the service then

The ALDI or Lidl chargers are "smart"3 stage chargers & you can leave you battery connected with no problems. At £13 are a good buy But they are not always in stock The Ring & CTEC chargers are very good but that much dearer

I have the Ring 16amp smart charger just over a year old and it would not work Tele Ring up and sent it back had a new two days after Great charger as it reconditions the battery at over £60

I GOT A 3.8 AMP maypole smart charger from towsure and its absolutly fantastic cost me 30 quid i have an 85amp battery always like new you can leave it on charge for upto 3months if you want to keep it conditioned , it goes into maintenece mode when it reaches its peak.

Aldi had these chargers on againjust before Xmas, some stores might have some left. I bought one over a year ago, very good item cant fault it

Our Lidl "smart" charger keeps both our 85 and 110ah batteries in shape.

But not both at the same time!
