Hi all, is there anyone that can help me I need a replacement burner feed pipe for my Carver SB-1800 Heater its the smaller gas pipe of the two, that feeds from the control valve through the floor to the burner , and I believe its made of steel.
My friend made me a replacement from copper pipe and although it works, it does seem to get very hot, so any help with finding a replacement would be very helpful.

Why the copper pipes getting hot could be purely down to how copper can transmit heat very effectively, however and without looking at the job, I'd say the whole fire needs looking at to ensure it's safe to use regardless of what material the pipe is!
