I have devoloped a leak which I'm sure is coming through my awning rail screw holes. I say that because when I screwed the rail up one or two screws didn't bight into the wood.
What I'm thinking of doing is pump in some unibond glue or some thing like that and when it's set I can re-screw.
You really should do a awning rail reseal , rather than hoping a bit of glue will do the trick . How much of a damp area do you have in the caravan ? as you may need to do some wall board and spar repairs before resealing .
It's only two quite small patches,at the moment. I fully intend resealing the rail, it's just a few holes are loose. I'm not too keen on re-drilling the rail and I thought some kind of epoxy resine would give me enough grip to ensure a nice tight squeese.
Hi John , i would drill the rail to either side of the screw that won't tighten up and fit new screws , then use sealant to seal the old holes . If you do give the epoxy resine a go can you let me know how you get on, thanks .
