On newer type fires which are Truma, pull the top out and off two clips, and then up to remove, you may also need to disconnect the fan control loom from the switch which also simply pulls off. The clips can be rusty making them tight but to be sure, double check through the grill no one as screwed it to the woodwork along the top edge?
You can also see the wire clips through the grill, either side about 2inches down
