sounds like the element has gone but look here for a fault finder chart.

http://www.gasrefrigeration.net/dometic_manuals.htm

set it to 7 check for warm air leaving the outside vent,if yes it should be working ok.place a thermometer  on the inside for a few hours.

Hi, we bought a new van in oct last year, while we were away april/may ? this year my oh noticed the fridge had stopped getting cold. we rang Thetford direct  who suggested tring it on gas , we did and still did'nt work , rang them again and they  asked me to check if any heat coming out of the vent .... yep plenty, is the van level,  about 1/2'' out of plum i said , that wont affect it they said. not a problem were due home in 2 days I'll take it to the dealers its on warrenty. upshot was we ended up with a new fridge, even though everything was getting hot as it should it just was'nt cooling down on the inside. I know this may not help but we still dont know why ours packed in , all we were told was 'it's one of those things that happen with fridges'' oh right...... hope you get yours sorted. atb Bill

Hi! I have a Romahome of similar vintage to your fridge. The expert who freely dispenses advice to us Romahomers, 'Ant' of Avon Motor Caravans, advises that taking the Electrolux fridge out of the van, then turning it upside down for about 15 mins, invariably cures this kind of problem. No, I'm not joking, apparently it sorts out some sort of flow problem with the refrigerent. It's worth a try I guess!
