A total novice here looking for some guidance. Whilst my caravan was in storage, the leisure battery for the mover was disconnected. I wish to reconnect it now and I notice that the lugs are plastic - or maybe these are just plastic covers over the lugs?
The connectors don't fit easily over the lugs as they are right now.
Probably a silly question, but are these plastic protectors for the lugs and do I need to unscrew then to recharge battery?
Dont mean to be cheeky but plastic is nornally non-conductive! good to see you sorted it out, the covers are only there to protect the battery posts, providing there is no risk of touching anything (shorting) you can throw them away, remember to rub some anti corrosion compound onto the posts.
