Hi all

I seem to have a problem with my electrics in my 1994 fleetwood garland. Everything was fine after our last trip but having been in the van I noticed we have no electrics. the battery was dry but even without the battery no electrics. the power is reaching the charger because i can hear it 'humming'. Unfortunately it doesnt seem to go past there. All and any help would be appreciated.

many thanks

Hi lefty817,had same problem with my compass lynx1998,turned to be the charger unit at fault, AC going in to charger, but the DC12volt out put was duff, New Charging unit needed, you could check your mains circuit breaker, and all AC breakers from the dead side of the mains switch, and the DC side of things,(But REMEMBER to unpulg power supply house to caravan when looking at  AC side),Do you have volt meter in van if you have dose it regester when conected to power, check for lose wires or bad conections, common in older vans, hope this may help you. try a meter on the battery and see what the voltage is.a charged one should not be less than 12.7 volts.then switch on the charger by means of hook up.the voltage at the battery should be about 14.5 volts now if the charger is working.with hook up you should have 12 volts anyway without the battery.check fuse next to the charger (red) this may have gone.
