My damp meter was doing that too about 2-3 weeks ago on an area I thought was OK. However when rechecking last night there was hardly any readings coming through and all appears to be well again.
I suspect that as I've been in there sorting out a few things and testing the heater and lights etc.. I may have dried out whatever condensation/winter moisture was there. Also the milder weather seems to agree with my van. Might be worth a recheck once you've fired up the heater, and used it a bit following a long winter?
