Well we waited (Mrs did) and waited and waited, 2pm she give up as she had to go out, then as she got to the front door she found a card behind it saying no-one was in and it will be available for collection at the post office
We have the quietest postmen in England, they get up to the front door, knock on the door (they should ring the bell its louder ) and post a card through the door without anyone hearing them or my two dogs hearing them.
It will be collected tomorrow from the PO

More than last year :-)
I know what you mean Ken and it's touched a raw nerve this week?
I was late to work Monday and missed Interlink, card said ring this number or that number depending on what I wanted to do about it, gave up after 10 minutes pressing buttons in reply to a 'machine'
Tuesday, sender rang to say Interlink had rang him! then they rang me!!
However as I said to the guy that rang, I've had your regular driver deliver today and he's going to find the parcel and deliver it tomorrow, today, which he did bless him!
You don't need high tech, just good guys doing there job
I will then state publicly, my own Royal Mail Postman and all the relief guys are 100% top dollar, I know them all well and even trust them with a key to my workshop so I never miss a delivery.
Not something I can say though for the prat that delivers, (if he can be bothered), at home!!
