We have just been given a awning to fit our old abi monza , but the awning rail is bit battered in a few places, we bought a awning spreader and cleaned the rail and used some silicon spray but have now found the awning slips out of the rail at the top corner of the rail on both sides , is there a simple solution or is it easier to replace the rail,and is that a difficult job to be done by a girlie novice.

Get a pair of long handled (for girlie novices ) pliers and gently squeeze the rail back together closing the gap up - Job Done

i put the awning bead inplace and tapped back to shape with a rubber mallet.

If using grips or pliers wrap a bit of tape around the top stops the teeth marking the rail.

I noticed that after doing mine. oops..

You don't need to use the awning itself to put into the awning rail.

If you have some awning skirt, cut off about three inches.(you wont notice the loss) and use that through the awning rail, much mor managable.
