hi

thanks for all your cmments and advice. i bought a second hand awning to try it out (only cost £33 so no big loss if its not ok or i make a mess of any alterations) if i think it works ok etc then i may buy a better one but the sunncamp panoramic porch was to practice with.

the movelite looks very good.

pop top was pulled down last night at dalby forest due to being very windy so it would be useful to beable to drop it.

the shower curtain fabric and velcro is a good idea. what kind of thread should i use ?

i do have a sewing machine (though not very proficient at sewing)

what about the sewing machine needle....will a standard one do the trick or do i need a stronger one ?

many thanks

For sewing machine needles that will do the thread for sewing tent/awning/yacht sails material.

You are looking for Polyester Thread and it comes in all sort of colours.Try here.

I have a sailmarkers loft 100 yards away and I get all my supplies from them but you will have to go to a yacht chandlers or buy it on the Internet.
