Been looking for information on my 2003 bailey ranger 510/4, specifically an electronic version of the handbook where I can find the correct tyre sizes and recommended pressures.
Hi our van is a bailey ranger 510-4 2004, it has 195/70/R14/96N tyres on it. on the tyre wall it states 42psi, had the service done a couple of years ago and they inflated our tyres to 44psi, never knew why, our van MTPLM is 1237kgs, I used to work in the tyre business and this baffled me but when I rang the service center they said that 42psi is right. Strange!! cheers gary
Thanks for all your replies , confirmed the pressures are correct, tyres are the 47th week of 2007 so a bit of life in them yet, they look good, plenty of meat on them and no signs of aging on the side walls, ( no crack or scuffs) I think the next thing I'm going to be purchasing is a set of winter wheels, the van is stood for about 3-4 weeks between trips ( new toy so I'm out in it quite often)but over the winter it'll be stood for a while, any other suggestions to keep the tyres in good condition..?
If you put the van on winter wheels check with your insurer as many do not recognise these as a security device and most insureres specify 2 security devices be fitted. As Michael says on previous post put the van on axle stands and cover the tyres to prevent UV damage.
