Just been away for the weekend and while there i noticed that water was leaking from the whale pump where i plugs in to the van, the water was running out everytime the pump was in use and running down the rail on the van, i checked that it was inserted correctly.

Im also getting a lot of air locks in the water, it hardly runs with out showering us, could this be the pump at fault.

Most likely just needs a new "O" ring where it plugs into the van. Nice easy job.

If you didn' t lower the flap to hold the pump in place that may be the cause. Once the tank is full did you try running the furthest tap from the pump till it runs free and then the next furthest tap etc. That way all the air should be released from the system. I mention that as I assisted a caravanner with a similar problem on a site and he never "bled" the system this way before use. If that fails then its some other problem. Sometimes a connection in the pump breaks loose so that one pipe does not draw water or half heartedly draws the water causing problems with the taps necessitating, maybe, a new pump. Often noticeabale by just hot or cold running and not the other. The one that doesn't run just draws air
