Hi all

Hoping one of you can help me out as to what occurred whilst away in the van at the weekend.

Just set up ready toopen the vino when BOOM!!!!! - a real loud boom which could be felt as well as heard

Rushed out to the  water pump to find this gushing out water and on further investigation discovered, on lifting the back bed, found the water tank in two parts , literally torn in two.

Anyhow managed the weekend with no running water ( pitched by the water taps thankfully) but have no idea what caused this ( van is a 13 year old Bailey Auvergne), if it can be repaired and if so how much am I likely to be looking at

Would be most grateful for any advice / suggestions you can offer

Thanks in advance

Matt

I can quite imagine your concern but in truth all I seem to have done this year is fix this exact problem, if I've fixed one I've fixed a hundred!!

Your Carver Cascade 'tie rod' has snapped then, either at the wall end I'd suspect in your case, and that's caused by corrosion, or at the other end has been most common this year, that's been due to last winter being particularly harsh, and 'frost damage'

If you've not guessed already then? yes it can readily be fixed, contact me direct for details

Thanks Gary

Made me feel much better

Is this something I can attempt or would you suggest this is a professional job

Cheers Matt
