I've just bought a used Hymer caravan. We haven't used the van at all so don't know our way around it yet but have had a Hymer before so familiar with them. The previous owner is not helpful.

It's a long story but basically the 12v system was not charging so we had the transformer / charger replaced plus a yearly service.
The fridge is a large Thetford N145 which did have power to it but would not run properly as the power feed was duff.
After the charger change it's dead but the rest of the 12v/240v/gas system is OK. I think it's a fuse to power it has blown but the repairer could not find any inline fuses to the fridge. He thinks it's the main circuit board that's blown and says that he isn't a fridge repairer so has given up. I think that there is a small fuse to power the controls only and that has gone.

Are there any any Thetford experts here? Or can anyone recommend an engineer in Hampshire?
