New to caravanning. Ours has pull-out slats to make the bed on. OH knelt on the first one and it cracked. rouble is that it isn't a normal standard slat. It is totally different from the rest.
I have put a photo of it on my profile. If some kind soul could have a look and suggest how to mend it that would be great.
Use a piece of melamine (or similar) faced furniture board for the slat and piece of timber angle bead for the front - both available from Wickes or the like. Take your existing broken slat into the store for advice if you are unsure.
as above but look to see if you can get a thin steel plate to reinforce it a freind of mine used an unneeded shelf from a pc desk with steel plate after breaking twice and hasnt had anyproblems since.
Ours was cracked when we got the van. The hinged drop down support had come off, so I Araldited the cracked front slat, re-fixed the hinged support and all is good.
