Our Motorhome is due a Habitation Check. Is it worth it? The m/home is 10 years old and we got it it in Feb 2010. It has had the "Check" done on and off through the years but not every year.

It seems a lot of money: What are your views?

Although I do not own a campervan/motorhome now, I have previously owned two.

I did not know what a "habitation check" was and so I have just looked it up. I do not see anything in that, that any competent motorcaravan owner would not be able to check for himself and so, unless your van has to be done by an approved workshop because of insurance reasons, I do not see why the owner should not do this him/herself.

my motorhome is an 02 it had a habitation check last year but like you i think its a waste money i will not be bothering again .  the only thing i might get checked is the gas .. ps just about to start drinking the lake
