Black plastic pipe inside chrome bathroom tap has snapped, phoned a local dealer up to ask for price for spare £95.94 for full tap assembly I only need the small stem anybody got ideas where to get 1 cheaper than that?
My father-in-law has recently fitted a monoblock basin mixer from Toolstation to replace a faulty bathroom sink tap.

if you do fit a new tap assembly, make sure it is suitable for low pressure supply - some of the latest monoblock household taps only work properly with higher pressure supply
a picture would help.. to source the correct peice.. ive got an old bathroom mixer tap sat in my shed so im wondering if the peice you need is still attached to it.if i remeber correctly the van it came from it was just plumbed with flexi pipe..
