I can`t remember who it was that replied to my query about the rollers on my Mover. Anyway thanks, it seems that it is a Carver with the gritted rollers. I managed to get the roller off but the pin was bent and unuseable. I don`t know where I could get a replacement so I`m just going to replace it with a solid pin. If I fit it propertly it will last longer than me. By the way it wasn`t a taperpin but a springpin, stainless steel rolled up like newspaper. It wasn`t that much good or it wouldn`t have worked itself loose.

Thanks again.

It will be a standard 'roll pin' either single or double wound, probably 10mm diameter.
You should be able to get them from any decent engineering merchants.

It's meant to be a weak link and shear if the roller jams so preventing the gearbox being smashed, I would not then use anything else.

Gary,

Thanks for your reply. The pin in question was 8mm, stainless steel, rolled to almost a solid pin. No way was that ever going to sheer. I put in a mild steel pin and thats definately closer to shearing.
