We have not used our old van for a couple of years, it has been dry stored in a workshop. After recently taking to a dog agility show at short notice we discovered that the water heater has developed a serious leak, meaning we have had to ditch the carpet! The heater seems to party fill but then dumps water quickly out into the under seat area, but I can't see where it is coming from. All pipes and clips seem fine, so can only assume it is leaking from the heater housing.

The van was fully serviced and everything was working fine on the last trip before the van was stored 2 years ago. In fact a new ignition control unit had been fitted to the Carver as it would not ignite.

I am not sure if this could just be a perished seal or similar, but not sure I am comfortable trying to remove the Carver from the van to investigate further as it seems like it may involve removing the whole thing from outside the van, including removing the gas feed.

If anyone has experience of what may be causing the leak or has carried out any DIY servicing of a Carver unit I would be grateful for any information!

Thanks Michael, will contact Gary.

Bit weird, though, as the unit was drained before storage and was stored inside an industrial unit.

Regards
