I was not getting any water from my Truma Pump on my Pennine Folding Camper and eventually I traced the problem to verdigris on the plug and socket between the FC body and the pump hose.

Now, does anyone know how I can get into both the plug and the socket to clean these up so that they make good contact again?

I am actually quite miffed that a plug and socket on a FC that is only 4 years old, would get so much verdigris on it that it would cause suchg a fault so soon.
Does anyone know of anything that I can put onto the plug and socket to stop this occuring again?

I have tried cleaning both parts with fine wet & dry paper but without any success.

I used to have a special wire brush for cleaning the pins and sockets of the 12s & 12n plugs on the towbar but I have lost that and it would have been too big anyway. Plus I cannot see anything similar on the internet. A smaller version of that would have been ideal.

I will try the wet & dry again but using a heavier grade.

you can get them at pound shops,used for cleaning BQ grills.4 in a packet.i use a credit card and one of these to clean the cooker gas fittings to get brown marks off the alloy rings.
