We need to repair or buy a new front corner steady for our 1992 swift challenger 490/5 which we had planned to get done this weekend before a trip next Tuesday.

Due to unexpected problems with the towcar which have been sorted today we do not have the funds to purchase a new steady and still make the trip.

We have told the kids that we cant go away and they are so disappointed!!  Would we be able to use it with 3 steadies or is it too much of a risk? should we cancel the half term trip and make the repair and then wait until the main school holidays?

We knew it had a broken steady when we purchased it (it was a really good price). the steady does seem to be all there tied to itself underneath but in two pieces.
